Located in Viel Alpe near the center of Alpe d’Huez, the Chalet l’Etoile Des Neiges offers two accommodations, the “Grande Etoile” for 12 people and the “Petite Etoile” for 6 to 8 people.
Chalet l’Etoile des Neiges is located on the “Tour de France” route and 50 meters from the finish of the climb of the 21 laces of Alpe d’Huez. The telecentre ski lift is 90 meters away, allowing you to get around the resort. The nearest airport is Grenoble-Isère Airport, 105 km from Chalet L’Etoile Des Neiges.
This very old chalet has been completely renovated respecting the chalet spirit and the charm of the Vieil Alpe district.
In winter
Alpe d’Huez has an altitude ski area up to 3330m and an equipment of more than 1000 snow cannons. Alpe d’Huez large domain is 5 stations (Alpe d’Huez, Auris-en-Oisans, Villard Reculas, Oz-En-Oisans and Vaujany) with its 250km of slopes of all levels, 4 routes between 12 and 16 km without taking a ski lift, a total of more than 8000m of vertical drop in an exceptional setting including the longest Sarenne slope in the world, 16 km without taking a ski lift.
It is also cross-country ski trails, the Snowpark, the Boardercross, fun areas: La Marcel’Farm (family games area), Les Villages Skizz, The Mauve slope (Milka activities), the Kids Park, La Air Bag Zone, The Luge Track. In summer
High place of the Tour de France, Alpe d’Huez and its 21 bends constitute the essential stage of the passage of the Grande Boucle. Alpe d’Huez is truly the world’s top cycling place and above all it is the once-in-a-lifetime race!
Alpe d’Huez is also a mecca for mountain biking with its 263 km of routes connecting 8 surrounding municipalities, 18 enduro and 14 cross-country routes, but also with its magnificent rides in VAE to admire the lakes, of view on the valleys and the surrounding massifs.
